How do I use my registered Domain Name for a non-SPS website?

I registered my domain name using the SPS system, but now I want to have it point to a totally DIFFERENT website!

If you registered a domain name using your Single Property Sites account, and now you wish to have that domain name reference a different, non-SPS website, or point to some other system, here’s what to do!

  1. First, you should consider transferring the domain name away to your own registrar. Search for articles on how to transfer your domain name. This will give you complete control over your domain name.
  2. If this is not possible, then the other option is to change the DNS of your domain name, so that the Internet sees your domain name as being hosted elsewhere.
    To do this
    a. Go to MY ACCOUNT and then MANAGE DOMAIN NAMES
    b. Click the ‘Manage’ link for your domain name to go to the Manage your Domain Name page.
    c. Click the DNS option on this page and set the new DNS where your domain name is to be hosted

Now, set up a new hosted account on your new host.
