If you have an SPS Value Added Reseller account and you intend to allow your clients to login to your account as part of your service to them, then you will almost certainly want to do as much as possible to see your own Brand and Business name supported.
One method that helps in this regard is the ability you have to use your own domain name to direct your clients to the service.
Here’s how to do this:
Using a New domain name thats not used for Anything else
1. Have a unique domain name. This can be a WWW address like http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com, or you can use a third level domain name, such as http://marketing.YOURDOMAIN.com
2. You must change the DNS to point this domain name to our servers.
If you intend to dedicate a unique domain name to your Branded Service, then the simplest approach is to change the DNS records for your domain to point to our servers, like this:
ns1.singlepropertysites.com and ns2.singlepropertysites.com
Using a Sub Domain for Property Sites
If you are assigning a SUB domain to be used for your branded Service, then you should modify the DNS Host Records for your domain and set up an A-NAME record for this sub domain (*.YOURDOMAIN.com) to point to this IP address:
216.7.188.185
You must submit a HELP ticket to us to tell us you did this and we can then ensure our server is configured correctly too.
Allow up to 24 hours after all the steps above are completed for your sub domain name to start working.
The DEFAULT landing page is an unbranded LOGIN page.
Now, when one of your client then logs in, they will see your LOGO and the service will be shown with your new domain name.
Using the SAME domain name for Your Service and Property Sites
In this case, you should modify the DNS Host Records for your domain, and set up an A-NAME record for the WWW record and the @ record to point to our IP address, and also set a zone for the sub domain (*.YOURDOMAIN.com) to point to our IP address too.
Using sub-domains for Property Sites an the Main WWW domain for your Existing Website
Again, keep the DNS records at your current DNS host. make sure that uou set up specific Zones for the www and @ records to point to your OWN website server for your main website.
Then setup an A-NAME record for the sub domain (*.YOURDOMAIN.com) to point to our IP address.
