My domain name is not working.

Q: When I type my domain name into the browser, my site does not appear, how do I fix this?

Please note that Domain Names can take 24 hours to work correctly across the Internet.
Your SITE must be turned ON.
If you have just purchased a domain name, then be patient and please wait until tomorrow morning before checking.

1. On the Manage Sites page, is a domain name listed next to your site or does it say ‘Set / Buy a domain name‘ ?
   If it says ‘Set / Buy a domain name‘ then you need to purchase a domain name.
   Click on these words to set or buy a domain name for your site.
2. Did you use your own domain name (one you purchased elsewhere)?Look against your site on the Manage Sites page.
   1. If you do not see your domain name you have not yet assigned it to your site.
      Click on the link next your site that says ‘Set or Buy domain name’ and you will be guided through the process of setting the domian name for your site.
   2. If you have assigned your name correctly, then make sure the DNS (domain name servers) for your domain name are set correctly.
      Search for DNS in the Knowledgebase for more information.
3. Is your site ACTIVE? Is your site ACTIVE? (Active sites have a GREEN house icon next to them)
   Only Active sites can be generally accessed via the Internet (either with a domain name or via the native path).
4. Have you waited 24 Hours?
   If the domain name has been set up correctly, then you simply need to wait about 24 hours.
