Think about all that data you now have in your account – “for sale”, “SOLDs”, “rentals” and more! Wouldn’t it be great to re-use that on other websites, just add a simple line of code and show, for example, all your SOLDs? Well that’s what the WIDGETS do! A widget is a chunk of code than you can easily cut and paste and drop onto any web page to add additional features or functionality to your web site. Using widgets, you can easily decorate your own website or blog page.
CREATE A NEW WIDGET
From the Manage Sites page in your user dashboard, click on the “Create / Embed Widgets” link in the Marketing Tools column. You can then choose what type of widget you want, whether it is for a single property, a property map, a scrolling view of many properties, or a thumbnail view of many properties. Click on the image of the widget you want to create. You can then choose which profile to use the widget with (whichever profile is associated with the properties you want the widget to include), and select the status type of the properties you would like to include (for sale, for lease, sold, etc.). Then simply copy the embed code and insert it into the HTML of whatever website page you want. (NOTE: The embed codes must go into the actual HTML code of your site, so if you are unaware on how to do this please ask your website administrator, or contact us.)
FEATURE A SPECIFIC LISTING WITH WIDGETS
To set up a new widget to showcase ONE property site, simply navigate to the “My Sites” tab (located on the bottom half of the Manage Sites page in your user dashboard) and click on the link that says “Edit & Promote”. Click on the “Feature listing with widget” link, copy the HTML code provided on the next page, and embed it within the code of whatever page you want to. We have provided you with both a javascript code as well as an frame code, so feel free to use whichever one you need based upon what your website supports.
